註釋Called "an autobiography with a purpose," Stan describes her upbringing in rural Transylvania, her move to the US in 1922, and her lifelong quest to establish an ethnographic museum of peasant art. Included are numerous woodcut prints of folk costumes, dancers, wooden churches and other Romanian scenes. Ms. Stan describes experiences with the Minnesota International Institute and the Festival of Nations, including contacts with locals including Ms. Viorica Bretoi of South St. Paul and George Cucu, President of Alexandru cel Bun Society. She describes her meetings with Minnesota governors and other officials in her unsuccessful quest to establish the open air museum at Whitewater Park.
