Infrared Mapping of Lunar Craters During the Full Moon and the Total Eclipse of September 5, 1960
註釋Infrared measurements were made over certain lunar crater regions during the ecipse of September 5, 1960 and the full moon. Five rayed craters were observed to cool less rapidly than their environs during the eclipse, the anomaly being greatest for Tycho and progressively less for Aristarchus, Copernicus, Proclus, and epler. The findings are discussed in terms of the thermal properties of the surface, incuding thickness of insulating layer and age of the craters. Localized varations were found dur ng illumination, evidently attribuable to variaions in albedo and geometry. (Author).
