註釋In 1906, the Province of Alberta passed the first Attorney General's Act. Today its equivalent is found in the Alberta statutes in a form little different from the original. The Act details wide-ranging duties and reponsibilities for the Attorney Gerneral which are addressed by the department. These include: civil law, court and property services, criminal justice, public trustee, inspector of land titles, chief medical examiner, legislative council office, legal research and analysis, and constitutional law. The activities from each branch or responsibility is given by the director of each one. Financial statements conclude this document.
