"A numerical attempt is made to calculate the K* mass and width from one particle exchange forces. Due to the appearance of an extra parameter, a family of solutions is obtained, both in the one channel ([pi] + K) and the two channel ([pi] + K and [eta] + K) cases. Though mass and width can be well reproduced, the generating coupling constants come much too large. This raises some objections to the "bootstrap" generation of particles, that are discussed in the conclusion."
