註釋Adam Meek was probably born in Ireland before 1726. He immigrated to America and was granted land in Cecil County, Maryland in 1745. He married Jean Mitchell, daughter of Andrew and Jean Mitchell. Adam's widow and three sons migrated to York County, South Carolina prior to 1778. Jean Meek died in 1797.
