Crossbreeding the Local Goat in Malaysia with Improved German Fawn
註釋Indifenous Malaysian goats (Kambing Katjang, KK) and its crossbreds with Improved German Fawn (GF) were subjected to a trial investigating milk yield, milk composition, obtainable lactation length and oestrus occurrence. Crossbreds included F1 (KK x GF), F2 (F1 x F1) and BC (GF x F1). Milk yield of Kambing Katjang was significantly lower than that of crossbreds and lactation length was considerably shorter. In lactations of one year, F1, F2; and BC yielded 289,216 abd 251 kg milk, respectively. The milk yields of F1 and F2 differed significantly.
