Ethan Lloyd struggles to reintegrate into society after a long stint in the mental hospital. He yearns for love and acceptance, but finds very little of either. Then he meets his mysterious roommate in the halfway house, Chance, who persuades Ethan to join him on a trip to Mexico. A portrait of San Francisco in the late 1980's.
