註釋Peter was the only blue dog in the litter. His master didn't want blue dogs and threw him out of the house. The big dogs at the Dog Home were mean to him, so he escaped and then he was truly on his own. Fortunately, Sailor Jeff thought Peter was a dandy little dog and took him aboard the Veronica, his ship. He taught Peter how to navigate, and make sailors' knots and lots more. But one day while Jeff was on land, the Veronica got blown out to sea with only Peter on board. He looked and looked for Jeff while Jeff looked and looked for him but they didn't find each other. What Peter found instead was a lost island and on it lived lots of blue dogs, just like him.
