註釋The story is about Mary Magdalen, a repentant sinner, who sets out on a "quest" for a husband following the death of her parents. Her quest continues after being seduced by her cousin David, on his fishing boat on the Sea of Galilee, the night Jesus is born in far-off Bethlehem. Mary then becomes involved as a concubine, a sex-slave, adultery, a lover and a mistress. She is present at the baptism of Christ, Cana, the beheading of John the Baptist, the woman caught in adultery at the Temple in Jerusalem and at the Mount of Olives where she hears Jeshua instruct people gathered there. Mary finds her long-sought-after spouse at her death, when she is united with her Eternal Bridegroom.
