Leon Henkin Papers
註釋This collection documents Henkin's scholarly work and his social activism. It consists of a small amount of correspondence with colleagues; drafts of and correspondence related to, Henkin's dissertation, unfinished works, hard-to-find papers, projects with Erwin Engeler and Diane Resek, and Cylindrical Algebras; student notes from mathematics and philosophy classes at Princeton University; and University of California, Berkeley course materials. There are background materials, correspondence, memos, meeting minutes, and reports from Henkin's work with David Blackwell as co-chairs of the Mathematics Panel for Project 2061. There are also materials Henkin assembled from his time as co-chair of the Academic Freedom Committee, including meeting minutes, reports and proclamations to the campus, letters to individuals who raised questions or brought cases to the Committee, legal documents, and background materials used by the Committee. The collection contains one photograph of a classroom with an African-American math instructor and his students.
