註釋eng: Within the International Project for the Reintroduction of the Bearded Vulture into the Alps nestlings are released by means of hacking near Rauris (Hohe Tauern National Park, Austria). Data concerning the nestling period at the release site and the day of fledging of 23 birds (years 1986 to 1994) were evaluated. An ethogram regarding feeding-, maintenance- , locomotory-, roosting-, social-, interspecific- and exploratory behavior and behavior related to wing beating was used to assess quantitatively the behavior. Results concerning 3099 h of observation were compared to rearing and release conditions and to weather conditions. The behavior of the nestlings did not differ qualitatively but daily action patterns, duration and incidence of the evaluated behavior varied individually. An influence of rearing conditions could not be found. Weather conditions and behavior correlated in the case of wing exercising and age at fledging. 22 nestlings [mean age at release: 93 days; mean age at fledging 119 days (107 to 127 days)] fledged. One bird had to be recaptured, his behavior differed in respect of wing exercising. Time of fledging was influenced by age, age at the release, sex of the bird and weather conditions. In comparison with other release sites of the project, nestlings at Rauris showed in most cases different social behavior (less aggression).
Compared to nestlings of autochthonous populations they were more active, but only slight differences in their general behavior (attributed to their parentless state) could be found.
