註釋James Carmichael (1817-1898), son of William Carmichael and Elizabeth Stoddart Gilchrist, was born in Scotland. The family emigrated and settled in Riverfield, Quebec. He married Margaret Templeton (1818-1899) in 1837. They had thirteen children.
