When we see a garland & marvel at its beauty, we tend to ignore the thread which holds the garland together. Kaifi Azmi once said that the tune of the song gets composed first & then the phonetically meaningful words are inserted later, by the song writer. It's like the Kabr (where the body of a dead man is buried) is made ready by the music director & now they are searching for the body (lyrics). An Artist of the caliber of Anand Bakshi takes birth once in centuries and we should give them that well deserved love & respect. This book is my humble contribution to Anand Bakshi's legacy & my attempt to generate audience's interest in the wordings of the songs by the master, Anand Bakshi.
