Robert Granniss Cowan was born 14 December 1895 in San Francisco, California. His parents were Robert Ernest Victor Cowan and Marie Margaret Fleissner. He enlisted in the 11 th Company of the California Coast Artillery Regiment, National Guard in 1917 and served in France. Includes Peer, Forster, Hawke and related families.
