註釋 The research aimed to find out the perception of 9 movie and entertainment celebrities turned councilors regarding their performance in Philippine Local Government particularly that of Metro Manila. The objective of this study is for them to present their idea on what they think are the possible contributions of their experiences as celebrities to their present profession as councilors. The answer to the question, “is it really ideal to welcome this particular group of people into entering politics”, is left for the readers to think. A survey on 9 councilors in Metro Manila was conducted. Results showed that popularity is still the ultimate reason for their victory. Answers to the question about the contributions of their experience in the past revealed that these are just basic characteristics; in other words, only the crust of the whole sphere is seen. The core is still untouched. But since this is a study about their own perception, expect the results to be of the positive side. They also have proved a bit of their credibility through successful and appreciated programs and projects.
