註釋
"A mail survey of the secondary wood products industry was conducted to assess current species used and market potential for 'alternative' species. Seven secondary wood products industries were evaluated for this research. These industries were the cabinet, flooring, millwork, office furniture, dimension and component, window and door, and household furniture. Results indicated that collectively these industries are using a majority of 'traditional' species to manufacture their products. Oak, which included the use of both red and white oak, was the most popular species. There is potential to use 'alternative' species in all industries surveyed. The millwork industry displayed the most alternative species use. The office furniture industry also displayed potential for 'alternative' species"--P. 2.
