Selections from the Sermons of Charles Simeon. Volume 3
註釋Charles Simeon was a renowned preacher for 54 years at Holy Trinity Church Cambridge, until his death in 1836. In 1832 he published 21 volumes of sermon "skeletons" or outlines, with some 2,536 sermon outlines. This work was called "Horae Homileticae." Simeon had three stated objectives in his preaching - to humble the sinner, to exalt the Savior and to promote holiness. This work relates to the third of these stated objectives. It consists of excerpts from sermons, classified into themes. It would take almost 7 years to complete reading one of Simeon's sermons per day! So this work will be of value to the busy preacher or Bible teacher. It is also a useful instructional and devotional aid.
