John Henry Keefer (1806-1859) married Catherine Stabutz in Germany. They emigrated to America in 1834 and landed at Baltimore, Maryland. Later, the family lived at Mt. Pleasant. They were the parents of nine children. They were buried at Clinton, Fayette Co., Penns. Several generations of descendants are given.
