註釋Surveys the history of Jewish participation in the Résistance, particularly in France. Describes three kinds of Jewish reactions: submission, and passive and active resistance. Presents the various activities in Europe, by country. Describes the participation of the Éclaireurs Israélites de France during the period that they were able to function publicly, and subsequently in cooperation with clandestine organizations, such as the Armée Juive and the Organisation Juive de Combat. Pp. 57-62 include a chronology of the Jewish resistance in France, followed by a brief description of each of the organizations (pp. 63-65).
