註釋
Her book, a biography of Louise Imogen Guiney, is set to appear. She goes into detail about 148 Beacon Street, the home of Annie Fields (Beal's aunt), mentioning Fields' "small legacy" to Guiney, a bust of Keats by Anne Whitney. Tenison says that Miss Guiney's friends on both sides of the Atlantic have been helpful, including Alice Brown, who read the manuscript and Jessie Rittenhouse who read the proof sheets, saying that because of Guiney's patriotism and knowledge of English history she was "a brilliant interpreter of America." In her postscript, Tenison says it is much easier for her to work as a writer with people assuming that she is a "Mr."
