Commissioner's Report & List of Titles [for 1842 NH Revised Statutes Annotated]
註釋Prepared in response to the decision of the NH legislature in 1840 to "revise, codify, and amend the statute laws of New Hampshire" for the first time since 1791, the report was researched and written by a commission consisting of Samuel Bell and Charles Fox and submitted in March, 1843. It is intended for use with the 1843 Revised statutes of the State of New Hampshire, passed December 23, 1842 ... The commissioners were also asked to prepare "suitable running titles, abstracts for the chapter and an exact and copious index for the Revised Statutes". Thirty titles are included in the report, coinciding with the number in the 1842 Statutes. At their head, the Commissioners wrote: "The following list of the titles and chapters and their subject matter, contained in the accompanying draft of the Revised Statute, is also submitted, in order to give at one view a better idea of the plan of the revision."
