註釋The book will be broadly divided into 2 sections, the first on erectile failure (impotence) and the second on ejaculatory dysfunction. All chapters will be well illustrated with bullet points and algorithms, and readers will be able to use these to plan appropriate strategies for their patients. Section 1 will start with a chapter defining the prevalence of erectile failure (impotence), and then continue with chapters discussing applied anatomy and physiology - not exhaustively, but in sufficient depth for the reader to develop an understanding of the different points at which pathology can develop.Later chapters will describe the salient features of these different types of erectile failure, investigation pathways and the therapeutic options available. There will be an emphasis on shared care and the appropriate point for onward referral, and the realistic expectations that a patient should have.Section 2 will follow a similar format with a discussion of the prevalence of ejaculatory dysfunction, and a brief review of relevant anatomy and physiology. There will then be chapters devoted to the various abnormalities that can develop, including anejaculation, retrograde ejaculation and such practical topics as haematospermia and ejaculatory pain.It is intended that the book will form a practical guide which will be both useful and interesting to the non-specialist. To reflect this, references will be limited rather than exhaustive.
