註釋Shugan Ranson Davis, son of William Davis and Amy Ranson, was born October 4, 1788 at Ransom's bridge, North Carolina. He married Mary Sorsby, the daughter of Susan Davis and Benjamin Sorsby. Mary Sorsby was born October 4 1795 and probably married in 1813 or 1815. Shugan died February 12, 1857 and was buried at James Chapel in Clarke County, Alabama. Mary died in 1861 and is probably buried by her husband. The couple at four children.
