The author's project, a screenplay, was adapted from three full-length plays written for the stage. The uprising of the Ute Indians in September of 1879 resulted in their removal from their homeland. By weaving historical fact into the fictional, the screenplay "Ouray's Peak" explores the matriarch line of one family affected by that uprising and removal
