To accommodate wireless sensor networks' need for energy-efficient protocols for communication and data fusion, this project investigated an adaprive hierarchical clustering and routing method based on maximum bottleneck energy routing from a node to the sink. Compared to currently used protocols, MBER had the best performance in terms of network's longevity and the number of packets sent to the sink.
