Poems and Sketches Inspired by North Uist
註釋Mary Lewis is an Anglican (Episcopal) priest. For twenty years she directed a retreat centre in Wales and since 2000 has been leading retreats including ocean pilgrimages from the Isle of Lewis to the Outer Isles. In 2002 Mary had the opportunity to spend several months on the Isle of North Uist. Duiring this time she wrote poems and sketched, giving expression to the experiences she had on the island. Several of the poems reflect Mary's interest in the early Christian sites of North Uist as well as of the sea and the birds and some traditions associated with them. Mary still lives in Wales but spends time on North Uist each year.
