註釋Letters (1-33), research notes (34), and clippings (35-41), chiefly concerning Shakespeare portraiture, especially the Darmstadt death mask, the Davenant bust, and the Droeshout and Jansen portraits. Also, photographs and other reproductions of some images of Shakespeare (bust in Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon, the Droeshout print and the (supposed) original painting from which it was made, etc.) and a portrait of Ben Jonson (42-48).
