At age 5, Helga left her native Germany with her parents to live in Canada where she spent endless days working. She returned to Germany as a teenager and studied to be a tailor. After WW2 she married a U.S. military man who brought her to Texarkana, AR, where she worked as a seamstress for 29 years. Her perseverance in spite of trials proves we can all achieve our goals if we hang on long enough.
