註釋James Ball (d. 1749) lived in North Carolina and was the father of five children. One of the children was Stephen Ball (d. 1785) who also lived in North Carolina and was the father of five children. Descendants married into the families of Kreth, Griffin, Heath, McCotter, Bryan and Byrd. Descendants live in North Carolina and other parts of the United States.
