Couches and the Couch Connections
註釋John Couch, Sr. was born in South Carolina in 1745. He and his wife, Sarah, had thirteen children: 11 born in South Carolina, one born in Tennessee, and the last born in 1810--after the family had settled in Madison County, Mississippi Territory. Madison County became part of Alabama when that state was organized in 1819. Includes descendants of John and Sarah, particularly the progeny of their ninth child, Gabriel Couch, who moved to Arkansas. Gabriel was the father of Gabriel M. Couch, who was the father of Eddie Gabe Couch, who was the father of Andrew Jackson Couch, whose son, Andrew Jackson Couch, Jr., was the author's late husband. Family history focuses chiefly on these Couches in Arkansas and neighboring southern states. However, other collatteral lines are included. Also included is a lengthy list of births and marriages of possibly related Couches, extracted from records in England, 15 U.S. states, and Canada.
