註釋Hunmphrey Basse, Sr. married Mary Buschier in London, England and they became the parents of fourteen children. One of their children was Nathaniel Basse (1589-1654) who married Mary Jordan and was the father of John Basse (1616-1699) who immigrated to Virginia and married Kesiah Elizabeth Tucker and was the father of eight children. His descendants eventually settled in Georgia and changed their surname to Bass.
