註釋
The Melton Hill project on the Clinch River near Oak Ridge, Tennessee is the 21st major project to be built by TVA. Its construction brought to a close a period of about 10 years during which no new dams were added to TVA's water control system. Its reservoir was the first prepared for commercial navigation since Kentucky Reservoir was completed some 20 years earlier. The TVA Board of Directors named the project for Melton Hill, a high knob near the dam on which the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey established a triangulation station.
