The concept of English for Muslim Learners book is written in order

to fulfill students of English Education Department with Islamic content.

This concept is designed to provide more opportunities for students

to develop their English competence in term of reading and speaking

skill more communicatively and meaningfully. In addition, this book

design aims at enriching more resources for teacher and students

to have an academic discussion in English based on their Islamic

concept background. Furthermore, this book is also designed to be

useful not only for students of English Department but also for other

institution like students in the Faculty of Islamic Studies at University

of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) to use the book as a supporting

material. This work is also very beneficial as UMM promotes Islamic

values to be integrated in the teaching and learning process in every

department. Also, this work is also congruent to some research findings

suggesting to develop English text materials taking account on local

wisdom—here in our context in Indonesia is taking concern on Islamic

value. With this, we pray to Allah to accept our effort and make us

successful in communicating the message of Islam.
