Players And Ballers
註釋Marcus Garner was a veteran of the game with 12 years under his belt. Cocky and arrogant to the extreme, he thought that at the age of 34 he could not only compete at the same level he once did, and against players much younger than himself, but outperform them in most cases. He had also long ago sworn off Black women; ever since in his view he'd reached a level where he could trade up to White women as he once put it. As for the sisters, they'd become just like children's toys to him. Ones he occasionally played with, but just like a child soon discarded them and moved on. Chazz Lee was making some serious moves both on and off the court. At 25 and in his 5th season in the league, he had yet to even enter his prime. He was also something of a rarity in the league given that even at his relatively youthful age, he was actually seeking real love rather than the more common lifestyle revolving around easy sex with star-struck groupies and goldiggers at every turn and in every city. With the undying support and guidance from Kiyana Mills his good friend since childhood, he hoped that he would soon see an end to the days of looking for love in all the wrong faces. Shawn Slaughter Jr. had the potential to be the next big thing. But potential is nothing but a word that has weighed down many a young, talented player for years. Athletically gifted beyond belief, it seemed he might just be one to maximize his abilities however. That was provided he continued to grow and mature both physically and emotionally. But until then he would be just another man-child stepping into a world he was not at all accustomed to and certainly not quite prepared for.
