Analysis of the Stability of Features and Separability in Airborne Laser Swath Mapping Data
註釋However, some of the features such as the standard deviation of last stop elevation and the standard deviation of both stop intensities have not been found in previous research. A set of geometrically related variables are analyzed to determine their influence on the feature set. The scale dependence of the feature set is determined by analyzing how the mutual information changes as a function of grid cell size. This analysis provides new insights into the richness of simple two-return ASLM data and to the spatial and temporal stability of ALSM features when discriminating between classes. Through this research a number of goals have been achieved. A comprehensive evaluation of both traditional and novel features has been made. A new median-based measure has been developed to quantify the separability of the classes. An information-theoretic based measure has been used to also quantify class separability.
