註釋William Attridge, Jr. was born in about 1809 in County Cork, Ireland. His family emigrated in about 1835 and settled in Quebec. He married Sarah and they had four sons. The family lived in Rochester, New York and then returned to Canada and settled in Kent County, Ontario. Descendants and relatives lived mainly in Ontario and New York.
