註釋Pierre Louis Cantelou (1753-1819) was born in Paris, France and immigrated to America at the time of the Revolutionary War. He served in the American army and then married Alice Crymes (b.1757) of Lunenburg County, Virginia. They were the parents of five children. Their descendants settled in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and other parts of the United States.
