註釋complete total duration: approx. 60 mins. Virus Days String Quartet ~ Note to performers. This piece is not intended to be performed in its entirety, nor in the sequence in which it was composed. Performers may select individualmovements and perform them in any order which is pleasing. In this way the workmay have many different durations, depending on which movements are chosen.Like many people, Charles Roland Berry spent most of March, April and May at home. Having nothing better to do he decided to compose several works for chamber ensemble, including the Virus Days quartet. The piece is divided into fifteen movements, using a variety of compositional styles and moods. The work need not be performed in the order in which the movements were composed. In fact, the composer prefers the performers select their favorite movements, and play them in whatever sequence is most enjoyable. This gives variety both to the length of the composition and to the emotional impact, and means the piece will mostly likely be different at each performance. Charles Roland Berry studied music composition with American composer, Paul Creston and British composer, Peter Racine Fricker. Since 2010 he has worked as a film composer and arranger, his music included in Spider-Man Homecoming, John Wick -Parabellum, Mark Walhberg's The Gambler and Infinite, Equalizer 2, Ted 2, Tammy, The Interview, Chappaquiddick, Kept Woman, and How To Train Your Dragon.
