Perfect, Almost
註釋Perfect, Almost revolves around a woman, Alex, who moves her children from the only home they have ever known to a small coastal Southern town. Two of her children have accepted and are excited about the move. Her eldest son is openly hostile about any changes to his life. Since the passing of her husband two years ago, Alex has desired a new beginning for her family and she believes this little beach front town can help them all move on with their lives. The town of Thelma is exactly what Alex feels will be good for them all. Thelma is so small that it only has a grocery store, one diner, a hardware store, one doctor and a very long stretch of ocean front beach. Alex soon discovers that while Thelma seemingly may only have one of everything, it has more than just one hidden secret. Alex finds the house of her dreams which is perfect, almost. With the help of many of the town's people, the house is quickly turned into a lovely home for her family. Stephanie, her eccentric friend, and Art, the owner of the hardware store assist in the transformation of the old house. The diner is the hub of the town and the owner, Della, is a wealth of knowledge about the town's history and people. Della's involvement helps Alex and her sons to quickly become members of Thelma in spite of their very secretive and spying neighbor. In a very short time, Alex begins receiving threatening letters which she hides from everyone. She also discovers hidden journals in the old house which help her to learn hurtful secrets about the town of Thelma. The journals take Alex back to events that occurred in Thelma forty years ago in the home she just purchased. The threatening letters and the journals are connected and have the power to change the future and maybe heal some wounds.
