註釋
Presents the text of a letter written in April 1946, in Prague, to Rothenberg's family in São Paulo (Brazil) describing the main events of the Holocaust in Drohobycz. Before the war there were about 19,500 Jews in Drohobycz, nearly half of the entire population. Most of them were transported to Bełżec or killed on the spot between December 1941-November 1942. Ca. 500 Jews survived the war, among them Rothenberg and his wife who were hidden for two years by a Polish-German family outside of Drohobycz. In 1948 they emigrated to the USA. A copy of the letter is in the Yad Vashem archives. Includes an introduction (pp. 3-5) and notes by Silberner (pp. 3-5), the son-in-law of the author.
