註釋Athanasius Hertz (1871-1920) was the son of Mathias Hertz (1845-1915) and Mary Eva Bast (1847-1907) of Leonopol, Russia. His parents with their living children emigrated from Russia to the United States in 1903 and settled at Glen Ullin, North Dakota where family members applied for homestead lands. He married Rosa Mosbrucker (1873-1960) who was born at Felsenburg, Russia in 1896 at Felsenburg. Rosa was the daughter of Peter Mosbrucker and Margaret Schnell. They were the parents of ten children. Several generations of ancestors and descendants are given. Family members are descendants of Augustin Hertz (b.1814) the son of Anton Hertz of Bietigheim/Rastadt, Baden, Germany. Augustin emigrated to Speier, Russia about 1832, where he met and married Katharina Zent. Several generations of ancestors and descendants are given for ancestral lineages.
