Hardships and triumphs are the peaks and valleys that are encountered in life. We rise like the sun daily hoping to redeem ourselves from the previous day. Going through the same rigmarole without taking time to appreciate the simpler things in life, time is often taken for granted and flies by without us even knowing it. Contented are we with the routine without questioning it and what is the purpose of living? This journey began in 1995 when I started to take an appreciation to the literary arts. What started out as an outlet to alleviate tension became a passionate way to voice an opinion. Though the course was deviated along the way, I still managed to maintain the drive to press forward in this newfound venture. I was drawn to write through life's experiences using both current and past events. Speaking out through a different perspective and using poetry as an outlet to convey that very message.
