註釋Surveys the history of Jews in the region of Voreifel, from the beginning of their settlement there in the 14th century until World War II. Pp. 170-460 discuss the Nazi period. Reports on the boycott of Jewish businesses, the antisemitic press of Euskirchen, and the exclusion of Jews from social and cultural life. Traces the increasing wave of emigration between 1933-38. During the "Kristallnacht" pogrom, synagogues in various villages in the region were demolished, Jewish enterprises and houses were vandalized, and Jewish men were arrested and imprisoned. During the war, the Jews were deported to various camps.
