註釋The purpose of this project was to aid, by means of consultation and the supplying of data, Ralph Tasman Building Associates, Inc., in the planning and design of a hardened communal shelter. The shelter, which is intended to house at least one hundred persons, is designed to resist the related effects of a 20 MT weapon exploded at a range of 2 statute miles. After a stay-time of approximately 30 days, it is intended that the shelter will either be evacuated (the inhabitants being moved to a clean or decontaminated area) or, expeditions to other areas will attempt to replenish the shelter stores so that the shelter may be used as a semi-permanent base.
