註釋Franz von Gruner (ca.1790-1856) emigrated in 1849 with his wife and their youngest son, Wenzel (1831-1886), from Bohemia to Rochester, New York. Franz' mother had earlier immigrated to Bohemia from Alsace-Lorraine. In 1854, the Gruner family moved to Branch County, Michigan. Descendants and relatives lived in New York, Michigan, Illinois, Indiana, Alabama, Florida and elsewhere.
