註釋The Special Counsel investigation was a United States law enforcement investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 Presidential Election. According to its authorizing document, written and signed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, the investigation included any possible links or coordination between Donald Trump's presidential campaign and the Russian government as well as "any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation" including potential obstruction of justice by Donald Trump and others, including Vice President Mike Pence and the members of Trump's transition team. It was conducted by the United States Department of Justice Special Counsel's Office, headed by Robert Mueller, former Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
