註釋Experiments showed tha there exists in a subcritical pile of low critical mass a range of multiplications that are high enough for precision testing of pile components and yet low enough for the rapid establishment of equilibrium in each test. Advantages of subcritical testing over the conventional danger coefficient method are discussed.
