Generation Without Ethics?
註釋This book examines the historical development of human ethics and the processes for ethical development. The opportunities for new ethics and the challenges presented by modern developments are used to set the scene for ethical development as it enters the next millennium. The concepts presented may at times seem to contradict other statements. This should serve to reinforce the notion of the complexity of our society and increase the thought provoking nature of this topic. There are no answers -- only challenges. The authors' goal is to further the discussion that leads to a better world and deeper self-understanding of responsible world citizens. The survival of humanity is possible only with a strong believe in, conformity with, and adherence to a high standard of ethics. Life is only worth living with a high grade of moral standards and with a strong ethic. With so many people in the world living close together, it is necessary, now more than ever, to have these ethical guidelines and rules of conduct. The new ethics in the coming new world will be developed by people with a sense of responsibility and with knowledge of the lifestyle changes occurring throughout the world. We have responsible and knowledgeable people in all of our communities: families, schools, universities, businesses, public administrations, and service institutions. They will be the leaders in the development and enforcement of the moral standards and ethics of the coming time. This book explores these critical issues.
