註釋Examines two ethnic groups which lived in the Bieszczady region (Eastern Galicia) from the 15th-16th centuries to World War II: Greek-Catholics (Bojkowie) and Jews. Both peoples are no longer there. The Bojkowie were resettled in other parts of Poland by the communist authorities immediately after World War II. Pp. 113-180 deal with the history of the Jews in the region; pp. 167-180 describe the fate of the Jews in the Holocaust.
