William Donnison--Massachusetts Militia General Orders Collection
註釋Collection contains several General Orders for the early 19th century Massachusetts Militia. The Adjutant General for most of these is William Donnison. They discuss the military and its components, as well as the state of the militia. It includes some of the resignations and new appointments of officers. The general often writes a paragraph or two at the end about patriotic duty and how honorable their service is. The final two orders have John Brooks (1815) and William H. Sumner (1818) as adjutant generals.
